Ankit

In his own words, writing, for Ankit, is more cathartic than a professional endeavour. However, in the boring old professional realm, he works in the insurance sector, a far cry from his initial stint in the conventional engineering route. Somewhere along the way, he conveniently misplaced the engineering manual and found himself navigating the terrain of management instead.

Some things he holds strong opinions on (although their validity may be contested) are: the state of Bihar, the education sector, philosophy, business, finance, cricket, social happenings and woke culture. He also likes tea and coffee in equal amounts, politically incorrect comedians, dissecting song lyrics with more depth than required, drawing on philosophy for real-life endeavours, and considers himself foolhardy enough to want to run a cafe and a bookstore some day.

At social gatherings, he is known for making people uncomfortable by brandishing conservative views, staunchly defending tradition and embracing the values of yesteryear. Yet, he skilfully avoids veering into absurd extremes, opting instead to reconcile these views with the demands of the contemporary world.

Shrankhla Verma

Shuttling effortlessly between deep reflections and Netflix marathons, Shrankhla is known among her friends for finding humour even in the gravest situations. A poet with a sweet tooth and a soft spot for animals, she often finds herself in the kitchen, whisking her thoughts into warm confectioneries and jars of something homemade.

Before turning to business communication, she spent time in sports journalism, an experience that sharpened her storytelling and gave her a lifelong love for football. Currently working with the Trade Promotion Council of India, she is a sustainability enthusiast, a violinist, a diehard football fan (at least until all the players she can name by heart retire), and someone who believes life’s messiness is best met with a melody, cold desserts, and the courage to laugh anyway.
